Carl Maria von Weber: Zwischen Weltb\u00fcrgertum und deutschem Mythos<\/strong><\/p>\nAm 5. Juni 2026 j\u00e4hrt sich der Todestag von Carl Maria von Weber zum 200. Mal. Obwohl er oft als \u201eErfinder der deutschen Nationaloper\u201c abgestempelt wird \u2013 befeuert durch den gigantischen Erfolg des Freisch\u00fctz und die sp\u00e4tere Vereinnahmung durch Richard Wagner \u2013, war er tats\u00e4chlich ein weltoffener Kosmopolit. Er mied nationalistisches Denken, beherrschte mehrere Sprachen (Franz\u00f6sisch, Italienisch, Englisch und Tschechisch) und lie\u00df sich musikalisch von den unterschiedlichsten Kulturen inspirieren, darunter Spanien, Asien und dem Nahen Osten. Webers Weg war steinig: Er litt unter einer angeborenen H\u00fcftdeformit\u00e4t und einem Vater, der ihn krampfhaft als \u201eneuen Mozart\u201c vermarkten wollte. Trotz dieses schwierigen Starts und seines fr\u00fchen Rufs als \u201eeingebildeter Bengel\u201c entwickelte er sich durch die harte Schule bei Abb\u00e9 Vogler und durch jahrelange praktische Erfahrung als Theaterleiter in Breslau, Prag und Dresden zu einem hochdisziplinierten Profi. Ein entscheidender Faktor f\u00fcr seinen Erfolg war die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Klarinettisten Heinrich Joseph Baermann. Webers Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr die technischen M\u00f6glichkeiten der Klarinette m\u00fcndete in ber\u00fchmten Konzerten, die den Weg f\u00fcr seine Operntriumphe ebneten. Sein Meisterwerk Der Freisch\u00fctz wurde zu einem kulturellen Ph\u00e4nomen und wird bis heute f\u00fcr die vision\u00e4re \u201eWolfsschlucht-Szene\u201d und die perfekte Balance zwischen romantischer Naturidylle und d\u00e4monischen Kr\u00e4ften bewundert. Webers Karriere war gepr\u00e4gt von der Verbindung aus Leidenschaft und Disziplin. Er bew\u00e4ltigte einen enormen beruflichen Druck inmitten pers\u00f6nlicher Krisen, darunter juristische und finanzielle N\u00f6te in Stuttgart, die lang erk\u00e4mpfte Ehe mit Caroline Brandt und ein lebenslanger Kampf gegen die Tuberkulose. Er verstarb im Alter von nur 39 Jahren in London, kurz nach der erfolgreichen Premiere seiner letzten Oper Oberon.<\/p>\n
