After a nearly five-decade (and counting) career as one of his generation\u2019s defining rock bassists, Flea<\/strong> releases his first full-length solo album, Honora<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, March 27, 2026, on Nonesuch Records. Time and space have finally allowed him to return to his first musical loves: jazz and playing the trumpet. The album track \u201cTraffic Lights<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d co-written with Thom Yorke and Josh Johnson, is available today. Flea and the Honora<\/em> band embark on an international tour, playing intimate venues in select cities, this May; presales begin at 10am local time on January 20 for EU\/UK only, and general on-sale starts at 10am local time on January 23. For Honora<\/em>, which takes its name from a beloved family member, Flea composed and arranged the music, and also plays trumpet and bass throughout, joined by an elite crew of modern jazz visionaries: album producer and saxophonist Josh Johnson<\/strong>, guitarist Jeff Parker<\/strong>, bassist Anna Butterss<\/strong>, and drummer Deantoni Parks<\/strong>. The record features vocals from Flea, as well as friends Thom Yorke<\/strong> and Nick Cave. Mauro Refosco <\/strong>(David Byrne, Atoms for Peace) and Nate Walcott <\/strong>(Bright Eyes), among others, also join the band. The album comprises six original songs\u2013including one co-written by Flea, Johnson, and Yorke\u2013as well as interpretations of tunes by George Clinton and Eddie Hazel, Jimmy Webb, Frank Ocean and Shea Taylor, and Ann Ronell.<\/p>\n
