Es besch\u00c3\u00a4ftigt sich mit dem Thema des Panafrikanismus, diesmal aus der Sicht der Diaspora. Der S\u00c3\u00a4nger und Songwriter hat zwei gro\u00c3\u0178e Pers\u00c3\u00b6nlichkeiten der afrikanischen Musik eingeladen, um <strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u017eVestido de Amor\u00e2\u20ac\u0153<\/strong> zu bereichern: <strong>Salif Keita<\/strong> und <strong>Ray Lema<\/strong>. Diese Zusammenarbeit ist mehr als nur ein Featuring, sie besiegelt einen wichtigen Parameterwechsel. Lange Zeit versuchte das tropische Amerika an seine afrikanischen Wurzeln anzukn\u00c3\u00bcpfen, die allzu oft geschm\u00c3\u00a4lert, wenn nicht gar ignoriert wurden.<\/p>\n<p>1996 komponierte <strong>Chico Cesar <\/strong>Mama Africa, eine Ode an die afroamerikanische Frau, die alleinerziehende Mutter mit den starken H\u00c3\u00a4nden und dem gro\u00c3\u0178en Herzen. Im Jahr 2022, in dem sich die Frage der kulturellen Aneignung mit aller Sch\u00c3\u00a4rfe stellt, scheint es offensichtlich, dass Afrika bereits in der Vergangenheit kulturelle Str\u00c3\u00b6mungen beeinflusst hat und auch heutzutage noch von kulturellen Ereignissen selber Einfluss nimmt. &#8220;Der Panafrikanismus ist heute breiter geworden, und wo auch immer die Diaspora ist, sie muss stolz auf das sein, was sie ist, und sie muss sich das Recht nehmen, bei jeder Gelegenheit aufrecht zu stehen&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Chico Cesar liefert also ein vielfarbiges Album. Vom nordestinensischen Forro bis zum jamaikanischen Reggae, von der Rumba aus Zairo bis zum Calypso, von der Kokosnuss der K\u00c3\u00bcstenfischer bis zur Elektrizit\u00c3\u00a4t des urbanen Rocks. Dennoch bleibt \u00e2\u20ac\u017e<strong>Vestido de Amor\u00e2\u20ac\u0153<\/strong> vollkommen brasilianisch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u017eVestido de Amor\u00e2\u20ac\u0153<\/strong> ist das erste Album von <strong>Chico Cesar<\/strong>, das au\u00c3\u0178erhalb Brasiliens entstand und sich mit dieser zeitgen\u00c3\u00b6ssischen Kalibrierung auseinandersetzt. Das in den <strong>Ferber Studios<\/strong> in Paris aufgenommene Album ist eine ehrliche und spielerische Bestandsaufnahme einer vielf\u00c3\u00a4ltigen Welt, in der Tanzen immer noch m\u00c3\u00b6glich ist, vor allem, wenn durch die Freude auch Botschaften vermittelt werden, die von Frieden, Br\u00c3\u00bcderlichkeit, aber auch von Kampf handeln.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chico C\u00c3\u00a9sar<\/strong> der Elfengeist der brasilianischen Musik, mit seinem unvergleichlichen Aussehen und seiner reichen Kreativit\u00c3\u00a4t. Dies best\u00c3\u00a4tigt auch die Vielfalt seines Werks. Es stellt einen Dialog zwischen Tradition und Moderne des brasilianischen, afrikanischen und karibischen Raums her. Es ist die beunruhigende Leichtigkeit, mit der er alle Rhythmen, die unter seine Gitarre fallen, flie\u00c3\u0178end beherrscht. Vor allem jene Rhythmen, die ihn n\u00c3\u00a4her an seine afrikanischen, indianischen und regionalen Wurzeln heranf\u00c3\u00bchren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chico C\u00c3\u00a9sar<\/strong> ist ein Mann des Widerstandes, der sich f\u00c3\u00bcr soziale Gerechtigkeit einsetzt. Sowohl in seiner Musik als auch in seinem Handeln vertritt er offensiv seine Werte gegen Rassismus.<\/p>\n<p>Der Titel und gleichnamige Song seines 5. Albums liest sich wie ein Manifest: <strong>Respeitem Meus Cabelos, Brancos<\/strong> (&#8220;Respektiert mein Haar, ihr Wei\u00c3\u0178en\u00e2\u20ac\u0153), in Anspielung auf das krause Haar, das der allgemeine brasilianische Rassismus gerne als &#8220;schlechtes Haar&#8221; bezeichnet. Er stellt sich offen gegen die Machenschaften von Diktatoren, verteidigt \u00c3\u00b6ffentlich unterdr\u00c3\u00bcckte Minderheiten (Indianer (Indigene), Homosexuelle, Afroamerikaner*innen, Frauen, Arme) und engagiert sich f\u00c3\u00bcr den Umweltschutz. Ein Kampf, der in seinen Texten sowohl auf politische als auch auf poetische Weise zum Ausdruck kommt.<\/p>\n<p>Der ehemalige Journalist, Autor von drei Gedichtb\u00c3\u00a4nden und Liebhaber der feinen Phrase verf\u00c3\u00bcgt \u00c3\u00bcber eine gro\u00c3\u0178artige Gabe, mit Worten zu jonglieren. Er beherrscht die Sprache des Protests mit Intelligenz und Lyrik. Chico C\u00c3\u00a9sar ist ein Barde seiner Zeit, und ein zeitloser K\u00c3\u00bcnstler, vor allem ist er ein gro\u00c3\u0178er Musiker. Seine Wurzeln liegen in Catol\u00c3\u00a9 da Rocha, in den Tiefen des Staates Para\u00c3\u00adba im Nordosten Brasiliens, wo Francisco C\u00c3\u00a9sar Gon\u00c3\u00a7alves im Januar 1964 geboren wurde. Seine Kindheit wurde von Musik gepr\u00c3\u00a4gt, wodurch er schon in jungen Jahren komponierte. Da sich der kulturelle Dreh- und Angelpunkt Brasiliens im S\u00c3\u00bcden des Landes befindet, verlie\u00c3\u0178 er Para\u00c3\u00adba, um in S\u00c3\u00a3o Paulo Musikkritiker und Lektor zu werden.<\/p>\n<p>Die n\u00c3\u00a4chsten Kapitel seiner Geschichte lassen sich anhand von Kollaborationen, Tourneen und Alben (dreizehn an der Zahl) erz\u00c3\u00a4hlen, auf deren Plakaten und Credits His childhood was bathed in music and a regional culture that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s as rich as it is compelling. From an early age, Chico composed. All you have to do is look at the diversity of his work. The title and eponymous song of his 5th album reads like a manifesto: Respeitem Meus Cabelos, Brancos (a hard to translate pun that can either be read as \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcRespect my hair, whiteys\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 or, if you ignore the comma, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcRespect my white hair\u00e2\u20ac\u2122) in reference to the frizzy hair that common Brazilian racism likes to call \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbad hair\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, just as one might say \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbad weed\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. Positioning himself openly against the errant machinations of those in power, he publicly defends oppressed minorities (Amerindians, gays, blacks, women, the poor), and is involved in environmental causes\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6a struggle that inhabits his lyrics, both in a political and poetic way.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Because Chico C\u00c3\u00a9sar is also a man of letters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">The former journalist, author of three collections of poetry, lover of the finely-tuned phrase, possesses a superb gift for juggling words.
