Gianluca Petrella<\/strong> und Pasquale Mirra<\/strong>, zwei der kreativsten und angesehensten Musiker der italienischen Musikszene, ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlichen das Ergebnis ihrer kongenialen Zusammenarbeit “Correspondence<\/strong>” am 28.01.2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das Projekt begann vor drei Jahren haupts\u00c3\u00a4chlich akustisch, mit Posaune und Vibraphon und etwas Elektronik, aber schon bald dr\u00c3\u00a4ngte sich das Bed\u00c3\u00bcrfnis auf, ihren Horizont zu erweitern, die Grenzen zu verschieben und einfach maximal zu experimentieren. Sie nahmen Elektronik und verschiedene Instrumente wie Synthesizer, Rhodes, Balafon und Midi-Vibes hinzu.<\/span>
\nAll die zahlreichen Einfl\u00c3\u00bcsse und Kollaborationen von Petrella und Mirra (von Cosmic Renaissance \u00c3\u00bcber die mit Nicola Conte und Dj Gruff bis hin zu C’Mon Tigre und Mop Mop, um nur die wichtigsten zu nennen) flie\u00c3\u0178en auf diesem Album zusammen. Die von den beiden komponierten und arrangierten Tracks sind ein abwechslungsreiches Kaleidoskop aus Ethno, Afrobeat, Ethio-Jazz, Spiritual Jazz und Electronica – ein sich st\u00c3\u00a4ndig ver\u00c3\u00a4ndernder Kurs, bei dem Rhythmus und Sound eine zentrale Rolle spielen. <\/span><\/p>\n

Petrella und Mirra erg\u00c3\u00a4nzen sich perfekt in fast v\u00c3\u00b6lliger Symbiose, angetrieben von einer unb\u00c3\u00a4ndigen Neugierde, die unendlichen M\u00c3\u00b6glichkeiten von Musik und Technologie auzuloten.<\/span>
\nF\u00c3\u00bcr die Aufnahme haben Petrella e Mirra einige G\u00c3\u00a4ste ins Studio eingeladen: <\/span><\/p>\n

Giulietta Passera (Vocals), <\/span>Kalifa Kone (Schlagzeug, N’goni, Kalebasse), Blake Franchetto (Bass), Danilo Mineo (Congas, Bongos, Krakabs, Soundeffekte), Simone Padovani (Schlagzeug), und Primo Zanasi (Drumbeat). <\/span>Die Musiker wurden von dem Duo ganz speziell ausgew\u00c3\u00a4hlt, weil sie finden, dass sie perfekt zur musikalischen Architektur von \u00e2\u20ac\u017eCorrespondence\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 passen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das Album ist bereits Petrellas vierte Ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlichung bei Tuk Music nach \u00e2\u20ac\u017eBrass Bang\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 (mit Fresu, Bernstein und Rojas), \u00e2\u20ac\u017eMagister Giotto\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 von Fresu und der k\u00c3\u00bcrzlich erschienenen Hommage an David Bowie \u00e2\u20ac\u017eHeroes\u00e2\u20ac\u0153, die im P6OLO FR3SU-Boxset zum 60. Geburtstag des Trompeters enthalten ist. F\u00c3\u00bcr Mirra ist es sein Deb\u00c3\u00bct f\u00c3\u00bcr das italienische Label.<\/span>

Gianluca Petrella<\/strong> and Pasquale Mirra<\/strong>, two of the most creative and esteemed musicians of the Italian and International scene are going to release the result of their collaboration \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcCorrespondence<\/strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 on june 11th for Tuk Air, the branch of the Tuk Music label launched in January with the release of the Nanni Gaias album and dedicated to electro, funk and soul, on cd slim, digital and silver vinyl 140gr., each one with a specific tracklist.<\/span><\/p>\n

The album can be preordered from april 30th on bandcamp and on the main digital stores.<\/span>
\nThe project started three years ago as mainly acoustic, trombone and vibraphone with some electronics, but pretty soon the need to experiment\/research and to move the borderline further onward and pushed the duo to broaden their horizon adding eletronics and several other instruments like synth, rhodes, balaphone e midi vibes.<\/span><\/p>\n

All the numerous influences and collaborations of Petrella and Mirra (from Cosmic Renaissance, to those with Nicola Conte and Dj Gruff and to C\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Mon Tigre and Mop Mop only to name the main ones) converge on the album. The tracks, all composed and arranged by the two, are a varied kaleidoscope of ethno, afrobeat, ethio-jazz, spiritual jazz, elettronica, an ever changing course where rhythm and sound play a key role-<\/span><\/p>\n

They are two musicians in total symbiosis, urged by an ineauxhastible curiosity to explore the endless possibilities of music and technology<\/span><\/p>\n

For the recording Petrella e Mirra have called a few guests, Giulietta Passera on vocals and author of the lyrics of Night Shift, giving it a new wave shade, Kalifa Kone on talking drums, n\u00e2\u20ac\u2122goni and calabash, Blake Franchetto on electric bass, Danilo Mineo on congas, bongos, krakabs and effects, Simone Padovani on percussion and Primo Zanasi on drum beat, with all these musicians there is a shared path and have been chosen because they fit the musical architecture of Correspondence.<\/span>
\nThe album is Petrella\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s fourth release on T\u00c7\u201dk Music after Brass Bang (with Fresu, Bernstein and Rojas), Magister Giotto by Fresu and the recent tribute to David Bowie Heroes, included in the P6OLO FR3SU boxset released for the trumpeter 60th birthday, while Mirra makes his debut for the label.<\/span><\/p>\n

The designer and illustrator Oscar Diodoro is the autor of the artwork. He took over from Benno Simma as official designer of the label. <\/span>
\nOscar is the author of all the Tuk Air artworks, works based on industrial in series production mixed with the typical pop art neon lights.<\/span><\/p>\n
